This unoaked Chenin offers bright and lively aromas of pear, granadilla and lime. The palate is fresh and zesty, showing nectarine and some pineapple. The vibrant acidity adds length, texture and a crisp, refreshing finish to the wine. Perfectly paired with Shellfish, Spicy food, Lean fish, Mild and soft cheese.

Medium ruby, with dark pink rim. Strawberry and damson with subtle cardamon notes that typify the variety. Engaging notes of fresh berries and dark plums add immediate appeal. The medium palate shines with satin texture and beautifully refined tannin and then leads to long tapering finish leaving pleasant echoes of raspberry and plums. All the Vinum wines are bottled in eco-friendly, lightweight glass with recyclable screw caps.

Pale gold in colour with vibrant green tinge. Lemon blossom and mandarin notes combine on the nose, while a touch of brioche hints at barrel fermentation. Lively acidity and lemon zest add zip to the palate after which white peach lead into a generously round mid palate. The finish is taut and crisp leaving one with a clean, mineral lift. Chenin Blanc based blend with different percentages of Viognier and Blanc Fumé. This blend is 77% Chenin Blanc, 13% Blanc Fumé and 10% Viognier. A rich mouthfeel with subtle tannins and pithiness from skin contact. White peach, honey blossoms with a salty and herbaceous finish.

A large number of Watershed’s performances are played each year at wine farms in the Cape and they were inspired to do a collaboration of two arts : music and wine making. Together with their friend, Danie Steytler Jr from the iconic Kaapzicht Wine Farm, they have worked on creating wines that represent the style, quality and durability of their music. This Chenin Blanc is partially Old Vine Chenin that brings intensity and complexity to the final product. Beautifully crisp and invigorating with each sip. The song ‘Letters’ is a song about love and the written notes between two people.

Notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans linger on a long, structured finish, delivering both richness and refinement in every sip. Crafted with care and matured in French oak barrels, this vintage is drinking beautifully now but has the structure to reward careful cellaring for up to 8 years.
