Floral notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom together with apricot, peach, white pear and tangerine zest follow onto the palate where a creamy and leesy texture is combined with notes of almond and smoke. The zesty acidity provides the structural backbone of the wine. The finish is dry with a pleasant pithiness.

A perfumed nose of fynbos, lilies and pepper precedes a palate of blueberry, red & purple plum along with savoury notes of roasted beetroot, star anise and cloves. The wine is medium bodied with good freshness, chalky tannins and a crushed stone minerality. The finish is long and pleasantly dry. Perfectly paired with pepper-crusted fillet steak with brandy cream sauce.

An attractive nose of violets, red cherry, wild strawberry, purple plum and mulberry follows onto the palate. A minty, herbal note from the stems along with smoke and clove from barrel maturation give the wine a savoury counterpoint to the fruit. The wine is akin to Pinot Noir in body with refreshing acidity and supple tannins giving structure. The finish is long, dry and saline in character.
