The Stony Brook Cabernet Franc 2019, crafted in the shadow of the Dutoitskop Peak, is a rare and elegant expression of this noble varietal.  With only 2,410 individually numbered bottles released, this limited-edition vintage is a collector’s dream and a sommelier’s delight.

In the glass, it reveals a deep crimson hue. Aromas of red peppercorn, wild Cape fynbos, and dark chocolate leap from the nose, leading into a palate that balances freshness with intensity. The bright entry gives way to layers of concentrated dark fruit and earthy spice, supported by firm, structured tannins and a long, dry finish.

Hand-harvested and gently vinified, this wine spent 21 months maturing in second-fill French oak barrels to enhance complexity without overwhelming the fruit. A true reflection of Franschhoek terroir and artisanal winemaking.

Serve with: rosemary-infused lamb chops, grilled eggplant parmigiana, or a herbed mushroom risotto.
